Fun. Challenging. Mind stretching. Addictive. Sigsys.

Sigsys is not designed to be an easy game. Rather, it is purposely illogical, non-intuitive, and frustratingly different (and incredibly simple at the same time). With a foundation built on control systems theory, sigsys tests each players ability to identify dynamic (hidden) patterns in space and time.

There are nine levels in sigsys. In each level, a ball is driven by a different type of dynamic linear system. Hence, the way the ball moves and how the ball reacts to player input (touch or rotation) is different in each level. While the physics governing the ball is different in each level, the objectives are not. In each level, the goal is to repeatedly satisfy one of three objectives, where each objective represents a type of task one may find in typical engineering problems involving dynamic systems.

Its hard, its abstract, I know. But if a player becomes good, it means something. The adaptation (exploring the screen area), strategy (minimizing input effort), and prediction (quickly satisfying objectives) metrics and associated badges provide telling information about a players ability to learn a (hidden) dynamic pattern, predict responses to input, and devise strategies for maximum performance (score).

So the question becomes... Can you think dynamically? Can you think abstractly? How fast can you learn the system in each level? How many of the 27 badges can you obtain?

Challenge yourself. Challenge your friends. And most of all, have fun!
